Main responsibilities:
- Design, develop and develop data engineering solutions throughout the entire data life cycle - from data source integration to their presentation to analysts.
- Design and implement reliable, scalable and efficient data flows and transformations (ETL/ELT).
- Develop and maintain data processing processes, ensuring their automation, reliability and monitoring.
- Work with data warehouses and lakehouse-type architectures (e.g. S3, Iceberg, Trino/Starburst or similar).
- Develop and optimize analytical data models, ensuring their quality, consistency and reuse.
- Collaborate with data analysts, architects and business teams, transforming business needs into data products.
- Contribute to the development of data platform architecture, standards, guidelines and governance principles.
- Ensure data quality, security and access management throughout the data lifecycle.
- Implement best practices: versioning, testing, CI/CD and automation in data engineering solutions.
- Contribute to the development of the data platform and migration to cloud solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Contribute to the development of analytics and BI solutions (e.g. Power BI), ensuring proper data preparation.
What we expect from you:
- Higher education in IT, computer science, data engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering - developing data flows, transformations and warehouses.
- Solid SQL knowledge and practical experience working with large amounts of data.
- Experience in programming (e.g. Python) and working with data processing tools (e.g. dbt, Airflow or similar).
- Experience working with data warehouses or lakehouse solutions (e.g. S3, Iceberg, Parquet, Hive, etc.).
- Understanding of data architecture, data modeling and data quality assurance.
- Experience in implementing and applying automation, versioning and CI/CD principles.
- Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Superset) - would be an advantage.
- Good technical knowledge of English.
