Main responsibilities and objectives:
- Coordination of international payments and payments in foreign currency, analysis of payment processes, formulation of requirements, risk assessment and preparation of procedures.
- Supervision of compliance of payment transactions with established requirements, control of payment flows, management of rejected and returned payment transactions, cancellation of payments, recording and analysis of errors, reconciliation of accounts used for payments.
- Application of internal control, risk management and international financial sanctions implementation measures when executing payment transactions.
- Analysis of third-party requirements and good practices in the field of payments, preparation and submission of proposals for the development and improvement of information system functionalities, participation in the implementation of changes.
- Cooperation with the Bank of Lithuania and other financial institutions in testing and implementing payment notifications and their changes (SEPA, TARGET, etc.), ensuring integration with payment and other information systems of financial institutions.
- Providing methodological assistance to institutions whose accounts are opened with the state treasury on issues related to the execution of payment transactions.
We hope you:
- You have a higher university education with a bachelor's degree or a higher college education with a professional bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
- You have at least 1 year of work experience in payment transactions, SEPA payments, international settlements, correspondent banking or a related field.
- You are familiar with the operational processes of a financial institution, the principles of payment execution, correspondent banking and foreign exchange operations (FX) management.
- You speak English at B2 level or higher.
- You are familiar with the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Union regulating payment services, international settlements, implementation of financial sanctions, prevention of money laundering, activities of the State Treasury, the rules of the Bank of Lithuania and international payment systems (SEPA, TARGET, CENTROlink) and payment notification standards.
- You have strong analytical and large-scale information management skills.
- You are able to communicate smoothly and in a reasoned manner.
- You are responsible, organized, result-oriented, proactive and honest.
- You care about Lithuania and its future, you strive to create value for society.
Offered salary (gross): 2000-2450 EUR/month. The specific salary is negotiated individually, taking into account the work experience, competencies and compliance with other requirements of the position.
