Nature of work

The General Department of Kaunas District Municipality Administration is looking for an Information Technology Specialist to join the team. We are looking for a colleague who would contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the municipality's information systems, computer network and software.

Key features:

  • perform information systems analysis, design, development and implementation work;
  • adapt and implement already prepared software products and provide proposals for their improvement;
  • administer the Municipal Administration's computer network, maintain computer and peripheral equipment;
  • coordinate the development of electronic services in the structural divisions of the Municipal Administration;
  • make backup copies of information systems and user data;
  • advise Municipal Administration employees on issues related to the information systems they use;
  • prepare public procurement applications, their technical specifications, requirements for suppliers and draft contracts, etc., within their competence.

We hope you:

  • you have a higher university education in the field of information technologies with a bachelor's degree or equivalent education;
  • you have at least 1 year of work experience in the field of information systems;
  • you are familiar with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, Government resolutions, by-laws, other adopted regulatory acts, the provision of information and the implementation of information technologies in local government institutions;
  • you are familiar with the requirements for the preparation of legal acts, document management, data and electronic information security;
  • you know how to manage, accumulate, systematize, summarize information, diagnose information technology and information system problems, and prepare conclusions.
