Raw and Production Materials Purchasing Manager

JOB CHARACTERISTICS

  • Formation and implementation of raw material and production material procurement strategy.
  • Active search and selection of new suppliers in Lithuanian and foreign markets, development of long-term and sustainable relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Continuous analysis of the market, price changes, supply opportunities.
  • Creation of alternative supply sources and a base of reliable suppliers.
  • Participation in negotiations with suppliers and partners to achieve the most favorable commercial conditions for the company.
  • Coordination and preparation of contracts with suppliers and partners.
  • Close cooperation with production, logistics, finance and other teams.
  • Monitoring of raw material and production material inventory balances, ensuring optimal raw material quantities and effective management.
  • Inventory control and participation in inventories to ensure data accuracy and optimal inventory management.
  • Monitoring of purchasing results, improvement of purchasing and supplier management processes.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in the field of product categories, raw materials or strategic procurement.
  • You have worked with supplier search, assessment, selection and long-term relationship development.
  • Have experience in participating in commercial negotiations and are able to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Understand pricing, price structure, key price drivers and market trends.
  • You are proactive, independent, analytical and result-oriented.
  • You are ready to actively attend meetings and visit suppliers in Lithuania and abroad.
  • You are fluent in Lithuanian and English; additional languages would be an advantage.
  • Have a driver's license.
  • Experience in wood, furniture, panels or other related industries would be a great advantage.
