Nature of work
The nature of the work of a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor:
- In accordance with the Medical Standard of the Republic of Lithuania MN 123:2004 "Physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, rights, duties, competence and responsibility" and the Medical Standard of the Republic of Lithuania MN 66:1999 "Pediatrician. Rights, duties, competence and responsibility" provides medical rehabilitation services to children within the limits of his/her competence.
- Creates a patient's rehabilitation plan, rehabilitation team, assigns rehabilitation procedures and specialist consultations.
- Monitors the patient's rehabilitation process, participates in team discussions of the patient's condition.
- Fills out medical documentation in accordance with the procedure approved by the sanatorium.
- Resolves issues of patient care and nursing staff's incapacity for work.
- Registers discrepancies occurring at work and immediately takes corrective action.
- Provides information to the patient and/or his/her representatives about the patient's health status, disease diagnosis, rehabilitation plan, applied rehabilitation procedures, treatment progress, treatment methods, possible alternative treatment methods, complications and treatment prognosis, in accordance with the procedure established in the Sanatorium's internal rules.
- Applies the provisions of the quality management system implemented in the sanatorium in his/her activities, and makes proposals for improving the system.
Employee requirements
General requirements:
- Have a higher university education in the field of biomedical rehabilitation, or equivalent education.
- Have a valid physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor's license and a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor's seal, the number of which is granted in accordance with the procedure established by law.
- Have a QR code for legal work with children.
