Payroll technician

The candidate will be part of the HR department in the project: electrification of the railway section Vilnius-Klaipeda in Lithuania. Main duties:
o Obtain monthly Timesheets and check the correctness of the same.
o Handle relations with outsource payroll provider, send monthly Timesheets to them and once the payroll is received check that the calculations are correct and accurate.
o Verify / control employees’ information, such as sick leaves, overtime, to have accurate and up-to-date payroll records and inform the payroll provider as soon as possible.
o Monthly bonus, daily allowances calculations and others calculations related to payroll.
o Collate monthly Payroll changes from all departments.
o Preparation of the list of payments to be made by the Administration department.
o Take an active part in special projects such as the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and integrations.
o Stay informed of relevant local regulatory and policies changes, communicating key changes across the HR team.
o Resolve employees’ queries.
o Manage communications with Sodra, Labor Inspectorate and the Tax Agency in Lithuania when needed.
o Cooperate and have active communication with our finance department, resolving queries about month-end closing activities related to payrolls.
o Communicates issues and/or irregularities to Manager in a timely fashion.
o Maintains a high degree of confidentiality relative to personal data, salary data, and associate benefits information.
o Support other activities in the HR department.

o Have up to 1 year experience with payroll calculations and related operations in a HR department of a big company (>200 employees). Construction or infrastructures sector is a plus.
o Must be an advanced user at Microsoft Excel and similar tools.
o Have a University degree or higher education in Accounting, Finance, HR or equivalent.
o Have good understanding of basic payroll calculations and operations in Lithuania.
o Have practical experience managing payrolls from the EMEA region.
o Are able to work effectively as part of global team.
o Are highly organized, able to balance own workload and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
o Have accuracy and attention to detail.
