Nature of work
- Ordering materials from suppliers and controlling order execution (suppliers worldwide);
- Planning and coordinating material procurement processes for ongoing projects in Lithuania and abroad, ensuring smooth logistics and meeting delivery deadlines;
- Organizing purchases: preparing requests, analyzing offers, negotiating prices and conditions;
- Controlling and analyzing material prices in order to optimize costs;
- Improving purchasing processes;
- Searching for new suppliers (worldwide) and maintaining long-term relationships with existing partners;
- Preparing and administering supply-related documentation (negotiations, coordinating contract terms, invoices);
- Creating, coordinating and updating a procurement database;
- Cooperating with colleagues from other departments to effectively organize work processes.
Employee requirements
- Higher or higher technical education (engineering education would be an advantage);
- At least 2 years of work experience in similar positions (experience in ship repair and construction would be an advantage);
- Ability to independently plan work and manage several tasks at the same time;
- Ability to evaluate various supplier offers;
- Ability to effectively manage, analyze and structure data;
- Experience in creating a database (preferred);
- Ability to work both in a team and independently, analytical thinking, responsibility and diligence;
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially for working with MS Excel;
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written (required);
- Category B driver's license.
